Search for Associate/Assistant Vice President

Applications are invited for the position of Associate/Assistant Vice President for Equity and Diversity. The Associate/Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Equity and Diversity works directly with the Vice President to integrate equity and diversity into the fabric of the University of Minnesota system. As a member of the Vice President’s senior leadership team, the AVP plays a critical role in working with the Vice President on long-term planning for the office, policy development and determining new strategies and initiatives to move forward the University’s equity and diversity agenda. This senior staffer also has major administrative responsibility such as personnel, development and budgetary issues across all units in the Office for Equity and Diversity (OED).

Leadership and guidance are at the core of this position, which requires a high degree of independent judgment and discretionary authority across the University system. This appointee is expected to act on behalf of the Vice President in many arenas. Both the salary and level of appointment (Associate or Assistant Vice President) are competitive and commensurate with experience.
