The Construction Expo and Goods & Services Business Development Matchmaker (Expo/Matchmaker) is hosted by the Office for Business and Community Economic Development and provides excellent networking opportunity for contractors and business owners to identify new suppliers, discuss business opportunities and form joint ventures to maximize inclusion on University construction projects.  This Expo/Matchmaker provides a direct link between the University and general contractors, sub-contractors, professional service providers, small business owners and businesses owned by women, minorities and disabled persons.

Matchmaker

The matchmaking sessions are 10 minute uninterrupted private networking sessions with buyers.  They are an opportunities to introduce yourself and your business face to face to the decision makers from specific University of Minnesota department purchasers as well as purchasers from other major corporations.

Expo

At the same time, the expo gives businesses an opportunity to network business to business.  For those business who chose to have a booth on the expo floor, there is an opportunity to demonstrate the goods and services their company can provide as a subcontracting partner.  .
