Program Information

MTAP ImageScholarships

CHI Scholarships support socially and economically disadvantaged students who require financial assistance. Candidates must demonstrate academic promise, professional commitment to community service, maturity, adaptability and respect for other cultures.

 

 

They must meet the following qualifications:

  • Current, admitted, and enrolled first- or second-year graduate or professional students in the University Medical School, School of Public Health or School of Social Work
  • Third or fourth year enrolled, degree-seeking undergraduate students at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus pursuing (or on track to pursue) a health-related career (i.e., medicine, nursing, dentistry, public health, and others.)
  • Students from socially or economically disadvantaged backgrounds, with special consideration for students of color
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or greater
  • United States citizens or permanent residents
  • Full-time students

Scholarship Awards are Offered to the following:

Note: the number of scholarship awards and amounts are subject to change.

CHI Scholarship awards may be used to cover the cost of educational expenses like tuition, fees, books or room and board. They may supplement but not duplicate benefits from other scholastic awards or exceed the cost of tuition, fees, books or room and board. CHI Scholarship Applications are available at the designated schools.
