Goal: Leverage the intellectual property and research capabilities of the University to provide management and technical assistance to community-based nonprofit organizations and small businesses.

Management & Technical Assistance Program (MTAP)
MTAP is designed to help nonprofit organizations and small businesses that serve urban communities build capacity and enhance their performance and effectiveness.

Community Health Initiative (CHI)
The Community Health Initiative (CHI) is a unique effort that focuses directly on communities that face public health disparities and other socio-economic issues. This initiative is a direct result of a partnership between Medica and the University of Minnesota's Office for Business & Community Economic Development, which is committed to advancing the quality of life for Minnesota communities. This is achieved through a variety of successful, sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships and collaborations.

Organizational Assessments

Nonprofit Organizational Assessments are designed to provide an in-depth view of the organization through the evaluation of eight core competencies. We prepare the assessment based off of a Nonprofit Organizational Assessment Tool which synthesizes responses to individualized interview questions.
