Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Students in lab and City of Lakes and Parks Gain Research Experience

The University of Minnesota offers research opportunities to undergraduate students in various disciplines. During the 2015-16 school year, the Undergraduate Research OpportunityProgram (UROP) welcomed over 800 University of Minnesota undergraduate students who worked on research with faculty.  In Summer 2016, over 250 undergraduate students participated in University campus-wide summer research programs.  The students represented institutions and colleges from across the nation including Puerto Rico and The U.S. Virgin Islands.
