Education & Training

The Office for Equity and Diversity (OED) offers educational opportunities for individuals, departments, colleges, and units.

Workshops focus on a wide range of equity and diversity issues in higher education. They can also be customized for individual unit needs and concerns.

The Equity and Diversity Certificate helps participants develop tools necessary for advancing equity and diversity in all aspects of their personal and professional lives. It’s free of charge and open to students, faculty and staff on all campuses of the University of Minnesota.

The Office for Equity and Diversity has also developed faculty-specific workshops.  Faculty and instructors can sign up for sessions via the ULearn System.  These workshops can also be customized for particular departments and audiences.

Please direct questions or requests for information about OED’s education efforts—including questions about the Equity and Diversity Certificate, the Critical Conversations, or customized workshops—to Wendy, Education Program Manager, Office for Equity and Diversity, 432 Morrill Hall,, 612-624-0594. To request a disability-related accommodation for any workshop, please allow two weeks advance notice.
